Wine and Gourmet Asia 2009 Side Events
So much to do at the Macau show besides just seeing new wine.
At the Wine and Gourmet Asia 2009 starting October 22nd till the 24th, you can expect to sample the fine wares of many different wine and gourmet exhibitors. But did you know there are various side events also taking place that you should consider investigating? If you have the time, make sure to include at least some of the following attractions in your schedule:
Charity Silent Bid – on October 22 and 23 from 11am to 5pm, a silent auction will be held for many different wines and liquors at booth E-04 in Hall C. There are over 40 items to bid on, including cognac, whisky, bordeaux, and champagne. All benefits will go to charity.
“Behind the Scenes” Tour of the Venetian – enjoy an hour-long tour of the enormous Venetian Macao Resort-Hotel on Saturday, October 24 from 3:30pm-4:30pm. For only US$20, you can be escorted by top executives through Asia’s largest single structure hotel building.
Asian Cocktail Championship – put your cocktail-crafting skills to the test at the Bartender’s Lounge starting October 22. Two different categories (classical cocktail and flairtending cocktail) will be held, and champions and runners-up will be awarded prizes courtesy of Seapower Trading.
Macao Culinary Association Winning Showpiece Display – come learn from the master in food decoration! Top chefs will display their creative culinary skills every day in categories such as vegetable carving, margarine showpieces, and live chocolate.
MORS GOLD PIN Competition – on October 22 and 23, watch people in service industry-related occupations (such as bartenders, waiters, and concierges) show off their skills in an effort to win the gold pin. The competition is hosted by the Macao Occupational skills Recognition System (MORS).
