A collection of fine and rare wines, cognac and whisky for auction at the Island Shangri-La.
On 23 May, the Island Shangri-La hosts Bonhams Hong Kong 2013 Spring Auction, offering an incredible selection of fine and rare wines and spirits from all across the globe. Highlights from the 450 lots worth an extravagant estimate of HK$12 million include a case of the iconic Romanée Conti 1988 and solid cases of Chateau Pétrus, Lafite and Mouton Rothschild 1982 vintage. In terms of whisky, a very special bottle of Macallan Albert Watson 1946-56, one of only 36 ever produced, is sure to excite bidders as are the Japanese single malts from the renowned Karuizawa and Hanyu distilleries.

Happy Valley Racecourse is holding their Wines in the Valley on 3 consecutive Wednesday during the race nights of February 27th and March 6th and 13th.
This is the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s annual wine event for wine lovers to enjoy the on-track thrills and taste up to 50 different wines from all over the world, both from old-world regions of France and Italy and new-world wines from Argentine, Chile, Australia and New Zealand.

Socialites, vintners and collectors gathered to mark the end of the prestigious wine event.
Great Wines of Italy, held last December, was Asia’s biggest and most prestigious showcase of fine Italian Wines. Held over two days at the Island Shangri-La Hong Kong, the expo attracted over 800 guests with 94 of Italy’s leading producers presenting more than 485 of their finest wines.

Top Italian wines to showcase at grand tasting events and a VIP gala dinner.
Hong Kong Tatler and James Suckling, one of the world’s most influential Italian wine critics and ex-editor of Wine Spectator, jointly present Great Wines of Italy, a two-day trade and consumer tasting event that will take place on 4-5 December 2012.
This is by far Asia’s biggest Italian wine showcase that will present more than 300 of the best-rated Italian wines from wineries in every Italian region. All wines are highly rated above 90 points and some, scoring even 100 points. Read more
