Castello Banfi is a family-owned vineyard estate and winery in the Brunello region of Tuscany. Banfi is known forbringing the wine world’s attention to Montalcino and pioneer in clonal research on the Sangiovese vine to produce a more consistently excellent Brunello di Montalcino.

We have been at the 46th edition of Vinitaly in Verona discovering Italian wine over the last 5 days.  The fair started on Sunday 25th April with a consumer day and the official trade days were from 26th-28th April. Vinitaly is the largest trade fair in the world with over 4,500 producers from Italy’s 20 wine producing regions of Italy like Piedmont, Tuscany, Veneto to lesser know regions and other countries showcasing their wines.

Countdown to Vinitaly 2012.

We are counting down to Vinitaly, yes its time again when Winebuzz.hk journeys to Verona for the 46th edition of this massive wine fair. Vinitaly is the largest wine fair in the world with over 4,500 producers exhibiting and they are expecting 150,000+ visitors. The four day event kicks off on 24 March 2012 but actually runs from 25-28 March 2012 .  Veronafiere and Vinitaly has lined-up some pretty exciting events to showcase the best of Italian wine.
