The Vintage Port Academy Promotes Port Wines in Hong Kong

The six classic Port houses come to class up the local wine scene.

Yesterday we were invited to a tasting at Brasserie on the 8th by the Vintage Port Academy – a new organization established this year to promote the appreciation and knowledge of VIntage Port amongst fine wine consumers and collectors around the world.

Led by Nicolas Heath of Taylor’s and Euan Mackay of Graham’s, Dow’s, Warre’s Symington Family Estates – the Hong Kong leg of their world tour allowed us the rare honor of tasting 3 vintages from the 6 classic Port Houses of Croft, Dow’s, Fonseca, graham’s, Taylor’s and Warre’s from 2000, 2003 and 2007 with a special guest appearance from two very vintage Taylor’s from 1963 and 1966.
