Pairing Sicilian red prawns with Rosé.

Obsessed with all things Sicilian, I was treated to a dinner at Messina last week. The chef’s menu offered a 4-course dinner with wine pairing, and I must say that the food was great but the wine pairing not as great. There were snippets of brilliance during the dinner that I would like to share.

Pairing Szechuan food with Bordeaux.

Sometimes it’s so stuffy to pair food with wines, especially when it comes down to the textbook pairings.
Steak with Bordeaux, oysters with Chablis, foie gras with Sauternes. I just don’t get the hype with half of these pairings.
