A Preview of Alain Ducasse’s New Spoon at The InterContinental Hong Kong

French wine and dining just got more interesting in Tsim Sha Tsui.

We were lucky enough to meet with Mr. Gerard Margeon – Chief Sommelier for the Alain Ducasse Group today, as Mr. Ducasse himself is in town putting the final touches on the brand new, or should we say, evolution of Spoon at the InterContinental Hong Kong in Tsim Sha Tsui.

While the full interview is being put together, we wanted to share with you some of the things that Mr. Margeon and Chief Sommelier Nicolas Deneux told us this morning. Most impressive is the new (and exclusive to Spoon in Hong Kong) 25 cl serving carafes and their original champagne glass designed by Mr Margeon himself shown in the photos above.

If you haven’t been to Spoon in awhile, then now is the perfect time to get re-acquainted with modern and causal French dining with, of course, one of the best and most breathtaking views in Hong Kong.

More on the new Spoon coming later this week.

  1. Thanks for the heads up. Will make it a point to visit when I’m in HK in Jan.
