Sicilian Wine Tasting: An Odyssey of Wine
A Sicilian wine tasting fair featuring a master class on Chinese food pairing.
Wines of Sicily presents, for the second year running, An Odyssey of Wine 2013 at the Hong Kong Jockey Club on 14th March 2013.
This tasting fair will showcase the biggest range of Sicilian wine in Hong Kong. Come discover Sicily’s new frontier wines that are less oaky, more elegant and the family estates that have pioneered wine production this region like Tasca d’Almerita, Donnafugata and Planeta.
Participating wineries include Tasca d’Almerita, Passopisciaro, Duca di Salaparuta, Benanti, Gregorio de Gregorio, Cantine Russo, Spadafora, Palari, Gulfi, Rudini, Luna Sicana and Abraxas.
A highlight event is the ”Master Class”conducted by our favourite Master of Wines, Debra Meiburg,who will be sharing her insights on the indigenous Sicilian grape varieties like Nero d’Avola and Catarratto and take part in the guided “Walk-thru Tasting”.
