Flavours Asia iPad App Launch
New wine and food pairing iPad App.
Winebuzz attended a lavish dinner recently to help launch the new Flavours Asia App, a food and wine pairing app at Island Tang. We were treated to a 7 course meal with matching wines from the Moet Hennessy stable of estates including Cloudy Bay, Chandon, Cape Mentelle and Terrazas.
The App started as a food and wine pairing book which turned into an iPad App. Titled “The Flavours of Asia” for Moet Hennessy Estate & Wines, the app features wine pairing with typical food from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines.
Contributors of the book include famous food and wine critics, chefs, food editors and restauranteur from all over Asia including Dai Ai Qun, Lau Chi Sun, William Wongso and others. We think it is an excellent addition to any food and wine lovers!
Besides their famous Sauvignon Blanc wine, Cloudy Bay also makes Pinot Gris, Chardonay and Reisling wines. We were introduced to a delicious 2009 Cloudy Bay Chardonnay and we were very pleasantly surprised. Other wines served included Chandon Brut Terrazas Reserva Malbec and Cape Mentelle Cabernet Sauvignon.
