Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair: 3-5 November 2011
Highlights from Asia’s biggest wine fair.
The Hong Kong International Wine & Sprits Fair is set to be the biggest yet in terms of exhibitors coming in from 37 wine countries and regions with over 900 exhibitors confirmed. Considered one of the most important wine fair, one of the must-attend event for those in the wine trade and exhibitors alike, Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair will be held as always at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 3-5 November.
This year, Italy is the partner country and they are bringing in over 300 producers with Vinitaly leading the push for Italian wines to enter the Hong Kong/ China market. Wines from other countries are also represented; from Argentina, Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, the Chinese mainland, France, Germany, Georgia, Hungary, India, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Uruguay and the United States.
The fair this year will see the introduction of the first Wine Investment Zone, in keeping with the growing recognition of wine as an investment. Visitors will also find plenty of logistics and training advice, providers, seminars and sessions at and around the fair.
Between networking, sipping and swirling, you can expect the third edition of the world-class Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit Competition, from which results and awards are the highlights at the cocktail reception in the evening of Day 1.
Other key events include the Wine Industry Conference, the Vino Sangiovese Forum and the Third Asia – Top Sommelier Summit.
