We featured Mark Bright, an American wine educator, sommelier and winemaker, when he was leading a wine dinner earlier this month.

We sat down with the Boston born, Vegas trained winemaker and educator at the Altruistic Boutique Wine offices in Hong Kong to get some of his thoughts on boutique wines, the explosion in the Hong Kong wine scene, getting Hong Kong to learn more about American wine as well as the subtleties between Sonoma and Napa.

Miguel Nora of ViniPortugal on the Challenges for Portuguese Wines in Asia

With Macau right next door, how is Portugal defining its wine in HK.

The VinitiPortugal event at the Grand Hyatt earlier this week was a great event – 49 wine producers came to Hong Kong for a 3-city tour of Asia. Everyone was delighted and surprised at the quality of the wines available for tasting and we have to agree!
