G.H. Mumm Launches Cuvée R. Lalou in Hong Kong

G.H Mumm’s Chef de Cave Didier Mariotti in Hong Kong to launch the 1998 Cuvee R.Lalou.

G.H Mumms, the third largest Champagne house in the world with sales of about 8 million bottles per year, is introducing one of their most pretigious bottles of champagne to Hong Kong entitled the 1998 Cuvee R. Lalou. Prestiges Cuvees are expensive Champagnes made in small lots to represent the finest achievement in winemaking by a Champagne house. The house’s president, Rene Lalou was credited for producing one of the top 20 vintages of all time, the 1985 vintage which brought fame and prestige to G.H Mumm. As a tribute, the 1998 Cuvee R.Lalou is named after him.

Didier Mariotti who is responsible for winemaking at G.H Mumms Champagne will showcase the pinnacle of G.H.MUMM winemaking in Hong Kong with the introduction of the 1998 Cuvee R.Lalou.

The 1998 Cuvee R.Lalou is described as a blend that is fresh, clean and complex, opening with citrus and mineral notes and then opening up into deeper aromas of exotic fruit, vanila and paraline, ending with a long complex finish that lingers. The suggested retail price is US$160 a bottle.
