Wine Tasting In Total Darkness

Monday. 12 July. 2010. 9:25 am

A new way to drink wine.

Some people say that to ensure impartial and unbiased judgment of a wine it should be served blind – that is, without having the taster see the label or the bottle. Without knowing the details of a particular wine such as geographic origin, price, reputation or color, the taster’s opinions are unprejudiced. You don’t actually have to blindfold your guests… but wouldn’t it be fun to experience wine in a different way?

Why not try drinking your wine in the dark? Wine Dialogue in the Dark is an event organized by Wines Connect that takes you through a 90-minute wine drinking journey in the dark. You will be guided by wine experts and trainers in a tasting conducted in total darkness. Taking blind-tasting to a whole new level, the organizers promises that you will experience wine with a heighten sensitivity, being more aware of everything from the temperature, texture and smell to taste of the wine.
