Altruistic Boutique Wines is bringing the first ever US Boutique Wine Festival to Hong Kong, one of the biggest wine tasting events held in the vicinity at the JW Marriott Hong Kong. The Wine Festival will feature over 200 artisan wines from 40 vineyards from Washington, Oregon, Napa Valley and throughout the West Coast, USA.
What’s interesting about the festival is that besides having the opportunity to taste a wide selection of rare boutique wines and meet the winemakers, they’ve specially flown in celebrity chefs like Josiah Citrin, Ken Frank and Hosea Rosenberg who will prepare gourmet dishes and special wine pairing dinners over the 2 days of the festival.

Award-winning wine dinner from four of Italy’s finest winemakers.

Come April 22, 2010, Joia will be hosting a special ‘one night only’ wine dinner featuring award-winning ‘tre bicchieri’ Italian wines and their winemakers. Wines selected are based on Gambero Rosso, the world’s leading authority on Italian wine considered to be Italy’s answer to the Michelin Guide, which designate extraordinary wines with ‘tre bicchieri’ award (3 glasses).
Joia’s Executive Chef Alessandro Angelini and Restaurant Manager and Sommelier GianFranco Razzani will host the evening which features a spectacular four-course menu of wine and food pairings accompanied by insights into each of the evening’s wines by their respective winemakers. Wines served are from Villa Sparina (Gavi in Piedmont), Massolino (Piedmont) Pico Maccario (south Piedmont) and Les Cretes winery (Valle D’Aosta).
