Taste Château Ausone Premiere Grand Cru Classe “A”

If you have not tasted Château Ausone Premier Grand Cru Classe (A) wine in the classification of Saint-Émilion wine, we suggest you pop over to Jointek for a taste and determine for yourself what the fuss is about. This is a rare treat as one of these bottle costs HK$6000. Tasting is held at 4pm at their shop in Wanchai.
For those who want to take it all the way, a full course dinner with the Grand Cru wines will be served at Nikko Hotel. Ms.Pauline Vauthier from Château Ausone will be the guest speaker to introduce you to her wine. The average annual production of the Grand vin averages a little more than 2,000 cases. The wine produced at Ausone is a grown in small scale vineyard of 7 hectares on the village of Saint-Émilion where the soil is a mixture of sand and clay on limestone unique to the area. Grape varietal are 50% Cabernet Franc and 50% Merlot.
