Wineworld’s Sunday night wine appreciation and dinners.
For those looking for enjoy a Sunday night of good wine and good food, you might want to look at the wine appreciation nights held at LaVilla Restaurant each Sunday in July. During wine appreciation and dinner, there will be brief lessons on wine with topics ranging from how to write descriptive tasting notes, how to pair wine with food to how to read labels. La Villa will be serving up a series of different 5 courses French dinner to match each wine theme for the night.
19 July 2009: Aroma Workshop.
Learn to identify key aromas in a glass of wine and write descriptive tasting notes. You will also learn how to recreate a glass of wine with aroma aids.

New wine shop opens in Causeway Bay next weekend.
Premier Fine Wine is Causeway Bay’s newest wine retailer, and they are launching in grand style next Saturday, July 18th and you’re invited to visit the new shop from 12 noon till 1opm! Le Mieux Bistro’s Paella Mixta.
Ricky Cheung, chef and owner of private kitchen Le Mieux Bistro is cooking up a storm this Sunday, July 12 2009 for Spanish Chambers members. He’s prepared a special menu of 100% pure Iberian accorn-fed ham Iberselec, Paella Mixta, traditional Spanish salad and desserts from Valencia for 40 people only. Spanish wine from Carlos Serres Gran Reserva 2001 (Rioja) Bodegas Icono Chardonnay (Valencia) from Cellarmasters Wines will be served.

Australian wine tasting coming up this Friday.
Dalton Fine Wines, an importer of Australian wines to Hong Kong, is inviting you to taste 3 Allyson Parsons wines: Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2007, Shiraz 2005 and Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 on Friday, July 10th and get a full glass of your favorite.
